HOUSING INFO

In this world, military bases across the US and the world are being used to document, inspect and pair people in order to assure that all healthy breeders are paired with an equally healthy non-breeder to obtain the best possible results. People can have shown up at any military base after the epidemic, where they will immediately have been processed, given an ID card, had a general health examination and then housed. People may relocate between housing compounds only by filing a special paper, and having a specific reason, like wanting to live where other family are, etc... Otherwise they will be housed where they are processed, receive a more specific and thorough reproductive exam, be categorized and documented as either a Breeder or a Non-Breeder, and then monitored as they are paired off into couples. Once a breeder and non-breeder are paired, they will be moved out of the compound and into a single-family home in communities in the immediate area of the compound which are under 24-hour military supervision.

For the purposes of this game, this compound is located at the former Fort MacArthur Military base. The compound residents have access to the Los Angeles Air Force Base Campus however, which contains a base grocery, food court, education center, shopping court (housing basic retail establishments only; nothing specialized), movie theater, etc... If you have a question about something as to whether it's likely to be found on the base campus, please ask before assuming).

Main compound housing buildings at Fort MacArthur are two floors and contain mostly one-bedroom apartments for breeders and non-breeders who are unpaired. There are a few two-bedroom apartments available to breeders who come in already paired, or for pairs while awaiting permanent housing outside of the compound. Unless otherwise instructed, it should be assumed each character has a one-bedroom apartment in one of the buildings surrounding the courtyards.

Military Barracks at the back of the compound house soldiers, whose presence is found everywhere throughout the compound.

Compound Clinic is where all routine and emergency medical care is to be received. There is a small birthing unit available as well, where breeders will have their babies.

Physician's residence across the street also holds a staff dormitory for any medical staff, as all medical staff is military-appointed and enrolled.

Health and Fitness Center includes full gym, indoor swimming pool, and other things normally found at a health center.
