For the purposes of this game, a pregnancy will last 2 actual weeks per month of pregnancy, so, between 16 and 20 weeks, since gameplay here is a bit slow. If you have any questions about this, please speak to a mod. Any male who has survived the virus, thus having "changed" him, making him now capable to become pregnant and give birth to a child is considered a "breeder". Those males that have not been changed by or otherwise affected by the virus (normal males) are considered a "non-breeder". Since this is now a militaristic society, the new government has decided that all breeders must be registered with a breeder compound, somewhere. Any found elsewhere that are not able to produce proof of registration via a government-issued ID card will be arrested and brought to the nearest breeder compound, where they will be processed and examined, then issued an ID card proving their identity and breeder status. Breeders, at this point in time, are required to reside in a government-approved resident/area for their own protection. Those areas for the purposes of this game are the Fort MacArthur (or other, in regard to reference or history) facility or those surrounding, patrolled neihborhoods specified by the Fort MacArthur Administration. Breeders, upon registration and processing, will be given a one-bedroom apartment at the compound facility where they are required to live until they are paired with a non-breeder. Upon pairing with a non-breeder and this pairing is legally documented, said breeder and their non-breeder partner will then reside together at the compound facility until the time that said couple are found to be pregnant. At that time the two partners may remain at the compound if there is room, or will be relocated to a comfortable, single-family home in the surrounding, fully-supervised neighborhoods closest to the facility compound. Breeders, upon being regestered and processed, are entitled to recieve a weekly living expense payment from the government, which they can pick up in the Administration Office each Friday, or have direct-deposited into a bank account. Non-breeders receive the same, although the amount for a non-breeder is about 33% percent less than what a breeder receives. All breeders are required to eventually pair with a non-breeder. After a certain amount of time, if a breeder has not paired with a non-breeder, a non-breeder will be chosen for that breeder and they will become a documented pairing and will be required to reside together, get pregnant and raise the resulting child together. Breeders may leave the premises of the compound facility, however, they may only do so if accompanied by a non-breeder from their same residence compound, for their own safety. Shuttles to and from the LA-AFB are not included in this restrction, as this is still considered travel within the compound facility, just on a different campus. Breeders that are found away from the compounds without an accompanying non-breeder will be returned to the compound and punishments may be levied. Breeders who are found to be incapable of conceiving or carrying a child after attempts at remedying the problem through whatever means found necessary by the compound physicians will eventually be declared unfit to breed, at which point they will be removed from the compound facility and are then required to obtain housing and employment on their own. They will still recieve a small weekly check from the government, though the amount is only 40% of what a healthy breeder will receive. Non-Breeders who are found to be incapable of impregnating a breeder after attempts at remedying the problem through whatever means found necessary by the compound physicians will eventually be declared unfit to breed, at which point they will be removed from the compound facility and are then required to obtain housing and employment on their own. They will still recieve a small weekly check from the government, though the amount is only 40% of what a healthy breeder will receive. Breeders may hold jobs if they desire to, though it is not required. However, there are restrictions as to the types of jobs that breeders may hold, for their own safety and protection. Please see the details about this in the jobs section of the Game Details link. |
